[ There's a petite woman with brown hair on the screen. She...looks a little nervous. ]
Uh, hi! My name's Fred Burkle, and you've probably seen that we've been paired for the month. So I mostly wanted to check in, see if there's anything you need or anything you want to talk about or- hell, ask about me. I'm...honestly I think this two-class system is a little...off, so I want to help where and if I can.
Um, I'm from Earth, I like physics and any kind of machine I can get my hands on, and I'm a supervisor in Maintenance. And your name...is it pronounced Sher-add-eh-nine Zah-kahl-weh? [ She winces a bit. ] Am I anywhere near close, there?
((ooc: I'll get back to the previous thread in Will's post (or we can handwave if you prefer), so we can come back later to this if you'd like! Just wanted to get it on the books.))
[ He's not exactly ready for this, but one day's all he'll allow himself. His voice is a little froggy as he speaks. ]
Hello, Cheradenine? This is Will Graham. How are you holding up after that Breach?
After they read his file, Avalon waits for their item to show that their inmate is in his cabin. They show up with both his file and theirs. Several hundred tiny, blood-red beads coil up their arm, starting right above their item.
Maybe they should wait, but this is important. They need to know his version of the story, not just the Admiral’s. They want to see how he reacts to the Admiral’s, to the file’s delivery, to the way that it tells them what he did without telling them much about how he got to that point. He knows his reasoning, and the Admiral knows the events. They need both.
The art therapy exercise that Dr. Sheehan suggested — does that sound like something that would help you? [He might not want to do it with them, but he could do it with someone else.]
[They might need to eat and sleep more regularly this week to make sure Zakalwe has time to do it, too, unless he can also go without things like that.]
Do you have any abilities other than immortality? [If he does, it might allow them to be further apart.]
I can go without sleep and food. [They nod and start walking to his cabin, making sure to neither outpace him or let him outpace them. They let their arm brush his occasionally, then shift further away until they start feeling the malaise.] How does this feel?
Was that the first time your Breach self had family from the Barge? [Their voice is still rough, but they slept through the day before and they feel well enough for this.]

I do have something, actually. I asked my prior temp, but he didn't get back to me. It's a little weird, though.

Not. Well.

It was the first time for me, too. Did that make it harder to come back from being someone else?
