Would I be correct in assuming you are Cheradenine Zakalwe?

[Though he does his best with the name, it's clear that he's still only guessing at some of the pronunciation.]

Uh, hi! My name's Fred Burkle, and you've probably seen that we've been paired for the month. So I mostly wanted to check in, see if there's anything you need or anything you want to talk about or- hell, ask about me. I'm...honestly I think this two-class system is a little...off, so I want to help where and if I can.

Um, I'm from Earth, I like physics and any kind of machine I can get my hands on, and I'm a supervisor in Maintenance. And your name...is it pronounced Sher-add-eh-nine Zah-kahl-weh? [ She winces a bit. ] Am I anywhere near close, there?

I do have something, actually. I asked my prior temp, but he didn't get back to me. It's a little weird, though.

I did. I graduated last year.

I wanted to see if I have the experience that someone else needs, and I formed connections here.

That's not a bad reason to stick around. Maybe I should do that. If I ever graduate.

Sometimes people disappear before they graduate, but if the Admiral can hold onto you long enough, you will graduate. Permanent pairings seem to work well, once they happen. [But they know the feeling of not knowing where to start, and not wanting to break away from something that works.]

People just disappear, sometimes?

Most people seem graduate or get their deal before they disappear, but we tend have a few disappearances each month. There have been more than usual lately, though.
